100 Days into Strategy: Building a Consultancy That Leads by Example

At TXM Consult (TXMC), we are 100 days into Year 1 of our bold three year strategy, and already the results are beginning to reflect both the ambition behind it and the discipline driving it forward.

Launched in January 2025, the strategy is built on three core pillars and reflects our commitment to long-term, sustainable growth. It is shaping how we focus our priorities, how we collaborate, and how we deliver value, both internally and with our clients.

It also builds on the values that define how we work: Credibility, Collaboration, and Community. These principles continue to guide how we show up  for each other, and for our clients.

Reflecting on the intention behind the strategy, Kyle Cotterill, Regional Managing Director, says:

We set out to build a strategy with purpose, one that drives the right outcomes for our people, our clients, and the markets we serve.

A Strategy Designed for Execution

From the beginning, the aim was to create a strategy that works in practice, something that drives real progress, not just high level ambition.

It had to be practical and deliverable. That is why we have set it up around focused workstreams, each with a clear lead and direction. It’s helped us stay on track, make decisions faster, and respond when things shift or slip because they always do.

On delivery, Kyle explains:

We are applying the same principles we advise our clients on. This is strategy in action, not just theory.

Putting People at the Heart

We made a conscious decision to involve our people in meaningful ways, not just by sharing updates, but by encouraging input, and creating space to contribute to real delivery. That openness has helped build trust, and a sense of shared ownership that’s driving the strategy forward.

Speaking about people, he adds:

The key to any successful strategy is bringing your people with you and we have worked hard to make this something people feel part of not something happening around them.

Too often, strategies fail because they are disconnected from the people expected to deliver them. We are doing it differently, keeping the conversation going, showing the progress being made, and making it easy to see where and how to get involved.

Looking Ahead

We have laid strong foundations and now we are focused on building from them. The next phase of our strategy will keep driving progress in the areas that matter most to our business, our people, and our clients.
